Osaka Medical College

Established in 1927 as the first institution in Japan offering a five-year medical course, the college celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2017. To date, the college has graduated more than 9,500 doctors and 4,000 nurses.
Based on its credo of “sincerity and benevolent care”, the college trains nurses who can demonstrate practical skills in diverse environments and doctors able to exhibit a high level of skills in the provision of the latest advanced medical care, community medicine, and research aimed at pushing the boundaries of medical science.

Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Established in 1904 as the Osaka Dosho School of Pharmacy, the university has produced more than 20,000 graduates over its more than 110 years of operation. It offers comprehensive education in clinical pharmacy and medical practice and an environment for leading edge research in pharmacology, strengthening bonds between the medical, pharmaceutical, and nursing branches to train pharmacists who can contribute as part of a team healthcare approach.

Junior and Senior High Schools

Takatsuki Junior High School and Takatsuki Senior High School

The high schools have been educating boys since opening in 1940, subsequently becoming coeducational in FY2017 as a step toward creating a gender-equal society. As a Super Science High School (SSH) and Super Global High School (SGH), the school is focusing on a shift to a learning-by-discovery approach to teaching, with educational practices that involve links with universities and research institutions to foster scientific curiosity and creativity.
